Personal Interests
I fell in love with Charlottesville during my medical school and residency years, and after 4 years in Lebanon PA, found myself back in Central Virginia. I’ve loved practicing family medicine in various settings, as well as shuttling my four sons to Scouts, band/orchestra, and track/cross country. Now that they are grown and launching into careers, I rediscovered my own music playing string bass in several community groups and at church, volunteer at my parish, and enjoy long walks with my dog and trying new recipes.
Biography
I’ve practiced family medicine since 1992, and love the ability to see and treat patients in the context of their families. I enjoy preventative health care, as well as care for chronic conditions and acute illnesses. In recent years, I have taken extra training in restorative women’s health care, and it’s been rewarding to help women with infertility and recurrent miscarriage as well as other issues.
